Well I decided that since our friend mrpaulsmith4, had stopped replying to me on yahoo instant messenger, that I would go ahead and reply to the email he had sent me. Since Im assuming that he sent this out to several people, I’m going to also assume that he would forget about my 30 million dollar minimum. Here is the email I sent him with all false information:

Today while I was at work, I received an IM from my yahoo account. It was someone who I have never heard of. He was trying to transfer 15 million dollars. I told my friend Steve and he wanted to mess with him too. I have changed both Steve and I’s screenames, but the scammers screename remains the same. Here is how it went down:

Beware of your emails, or emails from your banks. I do not bank with Wachovia but just received an email from someone pretending to be wachovia. Here is what the email looked like:

Do not follow the links and report it directly to Wachovia if you come across this email. The link that the email points to comes from the domain:  “web-trustbanking.net”
